This post is about cricket. Well, the version played on a computer with internet. Yeah, FANTASY cricket of course. This is the first time I am actually playing this game and it's an absolute thrill.
Formed a good team (touchwood) for the second IPL season. Have quite a few players from my favouite team, The Deccan Chargers. One might say that my fantasy team has a heavy southern flavour. I guess it has as much to do with me being surronded by south Indians as it has to do with me being one. Unfortunately, had to sell Kumble before I gave him a game. Got Yuvraj in return though. Punjab and Bangalore are going head to head tomorrow and hope Murphy doesn't strike. Within a day, fantasy cricket has caught fire in my circle, and we formed a new league of our own - "IST Junta".
Let's see how this goes on. Will be back with an update on this for sure. I think this fantasy cricket is very postive influence on one's time. Not only does it take up time by actual research one does to be competitive in this, it also makes you follow games you wouldn't normally. Finally, blogging about it takes time too. It is 3am in the morning and I have enough energy to still blog about it. To everyone who thinks it is a waste of time, well it isn't. And also, please do a PhD before you decide the value of time. My personal experience- it is highly overrated.

geek!!!! So this is how u spend your time .. Was surprised to see a fantasy cricket post .. thought you were into soccer .. :P where is the fantasy footer post da?
i'm not into soccer at all .. baski and amer. football .. maybe will play fantasy sports in other games this season :)
